Shanzhou Silo-cave is located in the junction of provinces of Shaanxi, Shanxi and Henan. It is renowned for square or rectangular dwellings that are sunk into the ground.
The cave dwellings show the folk customs and cultural characteristics of the three provinces. More than 100 existing cave dwellings are known as the best scenic spots, and are divided into three parts: ecological sightseeing zone, core tourism spots and leisure resort. They will meet the needs of tourists, and offer them a different experience of western Henan.
The recently acquired title will quicken Shanzhou Silo-cave's appllication for the listing of World Cultural and Natural Heritage. Meanwhile, it will push forward the transformation and upgrading of cultural industry in Shanzhou.
